Brownstein Wins Four National ADDY Awards for Cheeky Brockmans Gin Campaign

Philadelphia, PA, June 12, 2019 – Last Friday night, Brownstein Group’s “What’ll you have?” campaign for Brockmans Gin received one gold and three silver prizes at the American Advertising Awards, commonly known as the ADDYs.

The National Awards Show, held in Hollywood, Florida, was the culmination of several months of local and regional competitions that gathered over 35,000 submissions throughout the country.

The playful set of illustrated ads for the “What’ll you have?” campaign caricatured the consequences of drinking various alcoholic beverages — vodka, tequila, and boxed wine among them — against that of enjoying Brockmans Gin on a night out. The versatile set of illustrations won Gold in the “Card, Invitation or Announcement” category; as well as silver in three additional categories.

These accolades conclude Brownstein Group’s successful winning streak at the ADDYs this year. In March, the Brockmans Gin creative campaign amassed 8 Gold and 4 Silver awards at the local Philadelphia American Advertising ADDY Awards — where Brownstein Group collected a total of 17 awards, the most of any Philadelphia agency.

The victory allowed the entry to move forward to the District 2 American Advertising Awards regional competition, where it picked up 4 Gold awards.

Friday’s final prize was presented at the closing night of the American Advertising Federation’s annual ADMERICA conference, placing Brownstein Group’s creative work among the finest examples of advertising produced worldwide in the past year.

“Our work for Brockmans Gin was intended to be clever and memorable—and it certainly hit the mark,” said Gary Greenberg, VP and Executive Creative Director at Brownstein Group. “To be recognized among the nation’s best creative work this year underscores the imagination and originality of our agency, and it’s been a pleasure watching our work rise to the top through highly competitive rounds of local, regional, and national awards shows.”
