Instead of Predictions, We Can Offer You Three Promises

Yogi Berra once said, “Nobody goes there anymore; it’s too crowded.”

At Brownstein Group, that’s how we feel about trends. To apply Yogi’s quote to marketing, if everyone is doing something, it probably isn’t worth doing anymore. This isn’t us being hipster and hating popular culture because it’s popular; it’s more about staying fresh, relevant and unique. There is a lot of content out there now, and a lot of it is competing for the same attention span. So when we’re advising clients on where to invest their money (or considering where to invest our own), why would we recommend joining a pattern?

If you’re reading this newsletter, it means you’re somehow connected to Brownstein Group – we’re either doing great things together, we’ve done great things together, or we’re trying to find a way to do great things together soon. There are always a lot of predictions this time of year – what’s going to be “hot” in 2018. When we look back on 2017, we try to have an honest conversation with our key leaders in each department – what worked, what didn’t, what can we improve upon. We’re not big on predictions, but we can make you a few promises for 2018…

Promise #1 – Because Of Who We’ve Always Been, We’ll Be Unlike Anything We Were Before

More on this later. Yeah. We’re up to something.

Promise #2 – We’ll Bolster Our Human Intelligence With Artificial Intelligence

At Brownstein Group, we like to tinker with technology, break stuff open, figure out how it works and then figure out a better way for it to work for our clients. Right now we’re focused on artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things, how humans interact with devices and vice versa. We’re keeping one eye on Google, Amazon and Apple, and the other on our own creations. Instead of waiting for the future, we decided we’ll just build it.

Promise #3 – We’ll Influence

We’ve always been at the vanguard of change in our industry, leading by example and pushing boundaries. In 2018, instead of just creating change, we’re going to influence change – not just helping people and companies think a certain way, but also feel a certain way. That’s where the real change happens. That’s where movements begin.
