Brownstein Named Finalist in PR Agency of the Year Award, as PRNEWS and PR Daily Honor the Agency with Multiple Recognitions

PHILADELPHIA, PA, August 1, 2019 – Brownstein Group (BG) has been named a Small Public Relations Firm of the Year finalist in PRNEWS’ Platinum PR Awards, an honor establishing the agency’s public relations practice as one of the best in the nation. The news coincides with PR Daily’s nomination of BG and Saint-Gobain North America (SGNA) as award winners at their Digital Marketing & Social Media Awards, and of BG and American Water (AW) as finalists at their Media Relations Awards.

As the leading American publications covering public relations news, PRNEWS and PR Daily host the awards annually to celebrate the best communications programs, teams, and achievements across the world.

“This news marks a period of remarkable growth driven by the passionate, unrelenting work of our team,” said Laura Emanuel, VP and Director of Public Relations at Brownstein Group. “Their skills have delivered measurable successes for clients across our diverse portfolio. With innovative thinking and strong agency leadership, everyone played an indispensable part in helping BG achieve best-in-class recognition.”

The Small PR Firm of the Year award is a highly competitive honor where agencies are judged for innovation, new business growth, client retention, and corporate culture. In BG’s award submission, the agency reported client growth and loyalty, progressive hiring and recruitment strategies, and results-driven PR programs.

“We are an integrated and independent Philadelphia-based agency. This sets us apart from the competition and shapes our values,” said Marc Brownstein, President and CEO of Brownstein Group.  “We always strive for our work to be inventive and ambitious, while at the same time capable of delivering measurable business results. The public relations team embodies this work ethic—they demonstrate how a client-first approach coupled with grit and passion fuels success, and this recognition underscores the immense achievements of the team.”

Final award winners for the Platinum Awards, including PR Agency of the Year, will be announced September 17 at the PRNEWS Dinner Gala in New York City—where the world’s top agencies and brands will come together to celebrate the best public relations achievements of the past year.

On July, 31st, BG and SGNA were unveiled as the winners of PR Daily’s Digital Marketing & Social Media Awards in the Data-Driven PR Campaign category. Their work promoted the results of an occupant study carried out at the SGNA headquarters in collaboration with the University of Oregon, which highlighted the firm’s commitment to workplace design and innovation. BG and AW  are also awaiting the results of the Media Relations Awards, where the team was made a finalist in the Brand Messaging and Positioning category for their work on a communications plan for AW’s headquarters in Camden, NJ.

For the past two years in a row, BG has made the Top 100 on O’Dwyer’s annual ranking of national PR firms. BG also received a 2019 Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation in the “executive communications” category for its work with SGNA this past spring. Last year, for its excellence across disciplines in advertising and communications, BG was honored with an Ad Age “Small Agency of the Year” award.
