Group Account Director

The Group Account Director at Brownstein Group is responsible for the overall management of the client relationship, and leadership of internal teams on one large or multiple accounts.  He/she drives agency profitability and growth based on maintaining long-term, trusted relationships with clients.  Equally important is the ability to form and lead strong internal teams to deliver brilliant work-product and positive client results.  The right Group Account Director will create an environment that identifies, nurtures and celebrates big ideas…and helps sell them into clients.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manages senior client expectations.
  • Takes leading role in developing and selling in agency recommendations and POVs.
  • Establishes overall client relationship standards for the agency to follow.
  • Sets quality standards for the account and enforces adherence.
  • Responsible for the growth and vitality of the account.
  • Responsible for quality of service and deliverables to client across all agency practices.
  • Raises the bar, aspirational, strives to deliver the best of breed in category.
  • Ensures all work is on strategy, creatively brilliant, on time and in budget.
  • Stays ahead of the curve on all communications channels relevant to client.
  • Works with planning and creative teams to determine strategic direction for the Brand(s).
  • Monitors and manages staff development, career paths, reviews and hiring.
  • Supports Human Resources in training efforts; strong mentor.
  • Establishes strong relationships across all agency disciplines and offerings.
  • Works with CFO and Finance team to develop and secure fair and equitable agreements and SOWs.
  • Aggressively pursues new ways to contribute to overall agency and client growth.
  • Participates in new business development for the agency.

Qualifications

PR Senior Account Executive

Brownstein Group, an integrated brand communications agency in Center City, is seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to join our nationally recognized PR team! We are looking for someone with a proven track record in strategic account management, media relations, and client/stakeholder communication. You bring a passion for media, independent thinking and an ambitious entrepreneurial spirit, and we will provide a dynamic workplace environment and unique culture with a rich creative history and ample opportunity for growth.

This position is responsible for managing and supervising public relations tactics, maintaining client relationships and ensuring that intended outcomes are met.  In this role, you would be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans and messaging for clients while also providing support and intervention for problem solving and crisis management.  It requires collaborative work within the department and agency, strategic thinking and an understanding of both traditional and social media.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate an ability to be a strategic account leader, successfully garner top-tier media and blog coverage, execute well-written thought leadership materials and manage an integrated communications platform.

Qualifications:

Account Planner

Brownstein Group is looking for a logical, creative, inquisitive and intuitive Account Planner. In this role, you will bring understanding and insights related to culture, the client’s business, the market landscape, the brand strategy and importantly, the consumer. The right Account Planner for this position is up on the latest marketing trends, including digital, search, social media, traditional media, and content marketing and is skilled at interpreting research and data to inform and optimize marketing solutions. We are looking for fluency and experience in developing communications strategies for an integrated marketing approach.

We have a tried and true approach at Brownstein Group, but we don’t believe in templates. For this reason, we are seeking a critical thinker who respects process and the BG approach, but is not afraid to make the best recommendation for the client, even if it breaks the mold.

The energy and confidence brought to the Account Planner position is as important as the experience and skill set. The ability to present to a room full of clients, brief a creative team, and navigate the occasional tough conversation is critical. Someone who believes the glass is half-full, is always looking to level-up and considers him/herself a super likable person.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides valuable customer and marketing insight regarding trends, behavioral shifts, attitudinal dynamics of clients’ marketplace to account management and creative; recommends initiating consumer investigations whenever client/market trends suggest a shift in the consumer dynamic; share ongoing results of investigations/trend analysis; lead the creation of all brand/creative briefs
  • Provides thought leadership on current consumer trends impacting purchase of client products & services
  • Works with creative team to ensure brief leads to the development of a well-targeted creative concept; work is on brand and on brief
  • Develops and persuasively communicates brand/positioning/consumer perception portions of communications plans or other recommendations; clearly and persuasively communicates thoughts and ideas, to both staff and clients; demonstrate poise, intellect, accessibility, professionalism and commitment
  • Monitors overall timeframes and deliverable milestones for research projects, planning components etc. to deliver according to client/staff expectations
  • Demonstrates good listening skills, fostering an environment of professional commitment and mutual trust, communicate upstream and downstream in a manner that is timely, respectful, productive and supports overall project goals; communicate with clients in a manner that’s timely, informative and succinct
  • Effectively manages time to provide access and availability to counsel department and agency staff when needed, as well as to be available for key client meetings

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience
  • BS/BA Advertising/Communications – or any relevant field of study
  • Computer skills: Mac OS, particularly Keynote; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience in Omniture a plus
  • Open to light travel – 3-4 times per quarter

Account Supervisor

Reports to Account Director or Group Account Director

Role:  Problem Solver

  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with client and extended teams

  • Manages multiple projects from start to finish with an eye toward ensuring strategy and creative integrity is carried through execution.
