Brownstein & Inspira Health Collaboration Shortlisted for Communication Arts Advertising Competition

Philadelphia, PA, August 13, 2020 — Brownstein Group was shortlisted at the 2020’s Communication Arts Advertising Competition for a recent television commercial for Inspira Health, a non-profit health care organization in New Jersey. Recognized as the most prestigious competition for creativity in advertising, the awards program is judged by leading creative directors, art directors, and writers, and gathers submissions from around the world.

Titled “She Chose Inspira,” the spot was rooted in empowering patients and distinguishing the health care organization’s focus on patient choice and experience. “She chose Inspira” highlights an intimate, human reflection of a difficult disease that emphasizes the strength and decisiveness of those who live with it.

The spot is simple: a woman comes face-to-face with her reflection in a quiet bathroom. Her electric razor kicks into life as she starts shaving her head. Slowly but with conviction, a series of words come up on screen: “Sara chose to take control. She got ahead of her cancer, with doctors who specialize in her cancer. Sara chose Inspira.” When Sara smiles at the end of the ad, it’s because she was able to take control of her care, and by extension, her life.

“This campaign captured raw emotion in a very personal but empowering moment. There was only one chance to capture the scene, but it ultimately reflected an unfiltered expression of living with cancer and choosing to face certain challenges head-on,” said Gary Greenberg, VP and Executive Creative Director at Brownstein. “This collaboration with Inspira provided a new perspective on the relationship between a health care provider and its patients, and our goal was to help cancer patients recognize that Inspira can help them feel secure in their journey.”

Brownstein’s collaboration with Inspira Health has been recently recognized in several awards programs. Last December, Brownstein won a Bronze Clio Health Award in the Visual Effects category, Film Technique medium, for the brilliant representation of healthcare technology in Inspira’s 2018 ad, “Innovation Where it Matters Most.”
