Brownstein Founder and Chief Creative Officer Exhibits His Artistic Work

PHILADELPHIA, March 14, 2018 – Berny Brownstein, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Brownstein Group, the longest-running independent marketing communications agency in Philadelphia, is showcasing his paintings at an art exhibit that runs until March 31 at the Old City Jewish Arts Center (119 North 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19106). The exhibition features Berny’s paintings of international landscapes that highlight the beauty of everyday life. An exclusive reception and discussion with the artist will be held on Sunday, March 18 from 2 to 4 p.m.

After graduating from the University of the Arts, where he received a full four-year Board of Education scholarship, Berny began working as an art director at N.W. Ayer and eventually founded Brownstein Group in the basement of his home in 1964. He went on to develop campaigns for corporate giants such as Zenith, United Airlines, Chrysler Corporation, AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Caterpillar Equipment and IKEA, but has always been an artist at heart, showcasing many of his paintings at various galleries in the Philadelphia area.

As Chief Creative Officer at the age of 82, Berny still oversees the agency’s overall creative direction and is actively engaged with clients. Recently, Berny’s “Wild Tuscan Lilies,” which was painted during a visit to Tuscany and showcases the picturesque Tuscan landscape with its rolling plains, olive groves and wineries, was unveiled as a larger-than-life mural at 23rd and Sansom streets. Many of Berny’s paintings have been sold and are hung in the homes of prominent Philadelphians.
