Brownstein Adds New Clients to Regional Portfolio

Philadelphia, PA, January 28, 2021 — With the new year and new decade in motion, Brownstein has announced two new public relations clients: Hopeworks, a nonprofit working to provide career opportunities for at-risk youth in Camden, NJ, and Wavelength Productions, a New York City-based film studio making award-winning documentary and independent films. Both clients will bolster the agency’s regional client portfolio.

Since its 1999 founding in Camden, Hopeworks has been helping at-risk youth with educational, technological, and entrepreneurial training. A certified Sanctuary organization, Hopeworks helps young people overcome trauma through opportunity: the organization has helped hundreds of young people emerge from the cycle of poverty and violence to become powerful leaders and entrepreneurs within their communities.

Brownstein will manage media relations for Hopeworks and develop a strategic roadmap for a variety of communications campaigns in 2021, allowing the nonprofit organization to expand its reach and continue to serve young people in Camden.

Wavelength, a New York City-based film studio developing, producing, and financing movies and documentaries, has also joined Brownstein’s roster after previous collaborations. Led by Variety’s 2020 Producer to Watch, Jenifer Westphal, Wavelength has been involved in the creation of films including Sundance award-winners Softie, Sembene, Where’s My Roy Cohn?, Selah and the Spades, and One Child Nation. More recently, Wavelength produced Maybe Next Year, a documentary following Philadelphia sports fans through the Philadelphia Eagles victory in Super Bowl LII. Brownstein helped promote and manage media relations for the film in 2020 as it earned praise in the local and national press.

Brownstein will manage public relations for Wavelength as the organization prepares for theater reopenings and upcoming productions in 2021.

“The additions of Hopeworks and Wavelength Productions to Brownstein’s roster showcase our agency’s versatility and our eagerness to work with public-interest, creative, and regional enterprises,” said Laura Emanuel, Vice President and Director of Public Relations at Brownstein. “As our economy recovers from the pandemic, both of these organizations are positioned to elevate the profile of our region, and make sure its many voices, people, and stories are heard.”
