Born to Be B2B: Brownstein Wins PR News ‘Agency Elite’ Award in B2B Campaign for Western Union’s Speedpay®

PHILADELPHIA, PA, September 25, 2018Brownstein Group (BG), the longest-running independent marketing communications agency in Philadelphia, announced today it has won a prestigious ‘Agency Elite’ award from PR News, a top public relations and communication industry publication. Each year, the Agency Elite Awards are open to agencies worldwide and judges select those campaigns that demonstrate creativity, innovation, sound planning, implementation, and outcomes.

BG won in the ‘B2B Campaign’ category for their trade-show centric work on behalf of Speedpay®, a Western Union company. Titled, ‘Speedpay: Experience That Pays’, the campaign focused on producing quality business leads by targeting four key audiences at five different tradeshows in 2017. In addition to rubbing elbows with prospective clients at special events, the team employed methods such as managing event partnerships, conducting pre- and post-show communications, crafting audience-optimized landing pages as well as suggesting and overseeing paid/SEM tactics. This strategic (and highly-successful campaign) netted more than 150 new leads and 1,586 brand impressions through sponsorships.

Also a winner in the ‘B2B Campaign’ category was the BG team representing DuPont™ Sorona®, which received Honorable Mention for their ‘Creating a Sustainable Brand’ campaign that sought to educate and engage influencers in the apparel supply chain and position Sorona® as the premier sustainable high-performance fiber. Comprised of media relations, content development and social media, the campaign secured coverage in more than a dozen top-tier publications and built a base of advocates on social media totaling over 315K impressions.

The positive showing continued in the ‘Marketing to Women’ category, where BG took home another ‘Agency Elite’ Honorable Mention for work done on behalf of client Frankford Candy and the revival/reintroduction of their popular 1990’s candy, Wonder Ball. Their integrated campaign (which included public relations, social media, and digital activations) successfully engaged millions of moms across the country, drove retailer traffic and increased sales/awareness through unique tactics like a series of grassroots Halloween house events and an innovative unboxing contest on YouTube.

These awards come on the heels of BG being named a 2018 ‘Small Agency of the Year’ by Ad Age, and further illustrate the culture of excellence within the agency.
