PHILADELPHIA (October 21, 2016)-Brownstein Group President & CEO Marc Brownstein made a cameo in the Philadelphia Flyers 50th anniversary campaign video, released just last week. Joining Brownstein are many prominent Philadelphian’s including, Mayor Jim Kenney; Villanova Men’s Basketball Coach Jay Wright and Philadelphia Eagles’ outside linebacker Connor Barwin to name a few.
“We wanted to make a film that honored the true Flyers fans out there, an homage to our city of Philadelphia, to its hard-working fan base and their intense love for the team, and how we are all connected,” explained PDS Principals/Directors Stephen Gifford and Rick Sebeck. The talented duo managed to convey that spirit through a collection of powerful scenes shot in a variety of Philadelphia’s neighborhoods. They approached this project as ‘Philly as a hard-working city that loves its gritty hockey team,’ added Gifford.
The video took six months of development and planning, and a week of shooting in August to capture the right moments. “It was an amazing experience getting to explore the city the way we did,” said Sebeck. “In true documentary style, it’s a dance of patience and being opportunistic. We needed to be coordinated and poised but also let the moments unfold organically. Moments don’t always come to you,” said Gifford.
The campaign focuses on a wide variety of fans, even some well-known Philadelphians fans may not have noticed upon first viewing:
