Ad Age ranks the brand communication agency among 40 companies nationwide on its annual list of best places to work in advertising and media
PHILADELPHIA, PA – November 17, 2014 – Brownstein Group (BG), the longest-running independent brand communication agency in Philadelphia, has been honored as a 2014 Best Places to Work award recipient by Ad Age, the leading global source of news, analysis and intelligence for the marketing and media community. Now in its fourth year, the annual list comprises 40 advertising and media companies from across the United States and is compiled through an employee survey distributed to nearly 20,000 people.
The annual “Best Places to Work” program is more than a list; it is a survey, study and award program to identify the best employers in the advertising and media industry across the country, as decided primarily by each company’s employees. Employees were surveyed on questions about workplace conditions, management team, work-life balance, respect and caring for employees, fairness of pay, recognition of accomplishments, career development, and good teamwork, all of which helped to measure aspects of the workplace environment that contribute to an engaged staff. A second survey containing about 100 questions was administered to employers, with questions pertaining to hiring practices, benefits packages, salaries, office perks and workplace design. Nearly 20,000 people were surveyed as part of the selection process.
