The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has elected Berny Brownstein to a
two-year term as Chair of its Eastern Pennsylvania/Delaware
Regional Board.
"Berny Brownstein brings tremendous enthusiasm, creativity and
passion to his role as Chair of the Philadelphia Board," states
Barry Morrison, Regional Director of the ADL. "These qualities
and his commitment to the ADL will go a long way to strengthen and
energize our Board. We look forward to great achievement under
Berny's leadership."
Working to protect civil rights for all, the ADL is one of the
nation's leading civil rights/human relations agencies combating
anti-Semitism and other forms of bigotry. On his experience with
the league, Brownstein said, "The ADL has introduced me to so many
passionate individuals who fight for and believe in the ADL's vital
and eloquent mission, a mission that's dedicated to fighting all
forms of hatred and bigotry by creating positive solutions that
benefit the entire community. No other charitable organization I
know reaches out to address and solve so many problems on so many
fronts."
Brownstein is Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Brownstein
Group Brand Communication. A native of the city, Brownstein
graduated from the University of the Arts in 1957 and began his
career in the advertising department of a major retail store. After
crafting campaigns for multinational clients at NW Ayer, he
launched his own company, Brownstein Advertising, in 1964. Since
then, Brownstein has worked with clients in almost every industry
and expanded his business into an integrated communications
company. His passion for the business, wealth of knowledge and
expertise has helped the company still stand for creativity and
integrity 45 years after its establishment. Now, Brownstein will
use his experience and leadership to serve as the Chair of the
Board of Directors for the ADL.
