Gladwyne's Brownstein gets 'Good Scout' Award

Marc Brownstein, of Gladwyne, has received the 2007 Communications Industry "Good Scout" Award from the Cradle of Liberty Council, Boy Scouts of America.

The award honors someone who exemplifies the ideals of the Boy Scouts. Brownstein is president of the Brownstein Group, a Philadelphia-based brand communications company, specializing in advertising, public relations and related fields.

Since 1989, when Brownstein took over the company founded by his father, the Brownstein Group has added a Seattle office, a digital-marketing division, and clients including Microsoft Corp., ESPN, the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, the Wharton School, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square.

Brownstein, 47, also serves on the board of directors for several organizations, including the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
