Marc Brownstein Appointed Chair of Arts and Business Council of Greater Philadelphia Advisory Board
PHILADELPHIA (January 12, 2015)– Brownstein Group CEO & President Marc Brownstein has been appointed Chair of The Arts and Business Council of Greater Philadelphia (ABC), the organization announced today. The ABC Advisory Board helps set overall strategic direction, generate resources, and champion ABC’s mission in the community.
“I am thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to serve as Chair of the Arts and Business Council’s Advisory Board,” said Brownstein. “The intersection of business and the creative sectors has always been a passion of mine. As Chair, I look forward to strengthening the links between creativity and workforce innovation, and helping ABC continue to develop nationally renowned programs that incorporate design thinking, employee engagement and social impact.
As Chair of the Advisory Board, Brownstein will lead in the continued implementation of ABC’s strategic plan. Brownstein’s first task will be to work with Executive Director Karin Copeland and the Advisory Board to review the organization’s recent impact on the local community. They will also chart a strategic course forward that focuses on how to strengthen and scale existing leadership development and pro bono placement programs while envisioning new, innovative ways to position Philadelphia as a global creative capital.
“The Arts and Business Council is proud to have Marc Brownstein become Chair of the Advisory Board,” said Copeland. “He is someone who will ensure that our organization is responsive to both the arts and business communities and serve a broad and diverse constituency.”
“Marc Brownstein is a consummate professional who has a passion to serve to the larger Philadelphia area community,” said Rob Wonderling, President and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. “I have no doubt that Marc will combine his business acumen and creative mindset to think strategically about how the Arts and Business Council can continue to add value and improve Greater Philadelphia.”
