Group Creative Director / Associate Creative Director

Brownstein Group is hiring a group CD, or a particularly ambitious group ACD, for its national IKEA account -- a singular opportunity to work on an iconic brand. Brownstein oversees IKEA's national retail portfolio and is its social media agency of record. The work has been recently recognized by the New York Times, Fast Company, and AdAge, and was the recipient of a 2013 Webby award.

In the position you will oversee seasonal campaigns, manage a team of copywriters, art directors, and digital designers, direct the construction of fully interactive & immersive catalogs, construct fully integrated campaigns, concept photoshoots, and create gobsmacking outdoor advertising. Oh -- microsites and rich media galore. You will come to exclaim, "Hej!" as a hearty greeting, become intimate with the nuances of Verdana, and savor world-class herring or meatballs, depending on your culinary predilections.

At Brownstein, you would be joining a rapidly growing and ambitious studio with a collaborative creative culture rooted in rigorous thinking, unfettered imagination, cultural literacy, and craftsmanship.

If you swirled together the atmospheres of a brainy, arty ad agency and a tightly knit, long-running family business, you'll get us. We were founded in 1964, and are Philadelphia's longest running ad agency. We're a full-service shop, integrating brand strategy, advertising & design, and public relations/social media. Clients include Microsoft, American Association of Cancer Research, Comcast, Amerigas, ESPN, as well as regional banking, healthcare, cultural, and philanthropic institutions.

We're looking for CDs or advanced ACDs with at least five years of agency experience. Retail brand experience is required. Fluency with decor, furniture, and textiles preferred. Digital chops, check. Ditto for running photoshoots and working with on-set talent. TV & video skills would be nice. Need to write well, and build killer decks. Can speak strategically with sophistication and a minimum of jargon. Comfortable with the showbiz of presentation. Also some insights on roasting a brined Brussels sprout or refinishing old furniture couldn't hurt.
