Brownstein Group Wins Philadelphia Business Journal’s Healthiest Employer Award
PHILADELPHIA– April 17, 2015 – Brownstein Group (BG) was named one of Philadelphia Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers of 2015, as announced by the publication this morning. The program, presented by UnitedHealthcare, recognizes organizations in the Philadelphia region that are committed to creating a healthy workplace.
“We believe that the best and most creative work comes from happy employees so physical and mental wellness is a top priority at Brownstein Group,” said President & CEO Marc Brownstein. “Whether it is giving them unlimited vacation days, free weekly yoga classes or even just encouraging people to take the stairs, we want all of our employees to feel that we are invested in their overall well being.”
Employers were judged on their strength of wellness programs in six key categories: Leadership Commitment, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communications and Marketing, Programming and Interventions and Reporting and Analysis. The online assessment is comprised of over 60 scored questions with a corresponding point value for each answer. Upon completion of the assessment, employers are scored with the Healthiest Employer Index (HEI), which ranks an organization based on their individual answers.
Brownstein Group offers employees unlimited paid time off, which is a pioneering policy in the advertising industry. There is no restriction on the number of days that each employee, regardless of level or title, is able to take off from work for vacation or personal reasons. Additionally, BG offers flexible work hours, telecommuting schedules and a competitive health and investment benefits package.
Physical and mental wellness are also very important, which is why BG hosts weekly yoga classes, offers the services of a registered dietician and is home to a popular agency bar on the sixth floor that encourages after-work socializing.
