Brownstein Group Welcomes Fall with Seven New Hires

Agency’s Summer Hiring Trend Signals Steady Growth —

PHILADELPHIA, September 16, 2013Brownstein Group (BG) welcomed seven new employees over the summer to support the Agency’s expanding departments and evolving portfolio. Recent appointments to the Human Resources, Client Services, Marketing and Creative teams are key components of BG’s overall growth model, and welcome additions to the Agency’s unique blend of talents.

“With new and organic growth comes a responsibility to find fresh talent to meet our clients’ growing needs,” said Marc Brownstein, President and CEO. “We made it a priority to round out key departments and expand client teams over the summer in order to hit the ground running this fall, and we feel primed for that now.”

Julia Missaggia joined BG in August as Director of Talent, bringing over eight years of corporate and agency HR/recruiting experience with her. Prior to BG, she served as HR Leader at TPG, a digital and direct communications agency (part of the Omnicom network.) She has also worked as a corporate recruiter for Sleepy’s. Missaggia is a graduate of Rowan University with a degree in psychology.

Mallory Jaroski was hired in August as Senior PR Account Executive, providing strategic counsel and handling the day-to-day activities of clients such as American Society of Transplantation, Beneficial Bank, Campus Apartments and Independence Blue Cross. Prior to joining BG, she served as Senior Account Executive at Brian Communications. Jaroski is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in public relations.

Jenna Hollmeyer was hired in July as Agency Communications Manager to oversee social media, public relations and marketing on behalf of BG. Hollmeyer recently relocated to Philadelphia from New York, where she spent four years working as PR/Communications Manager at Deutsch Inc. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism and mass communications/advertising.

Kate Concannon came to the Agency in early June as a Copy Editor. Prior to BG, she worked at Oxford Communications in Lambertville, N.J., as a Copy Editor as well as a Social Media Engagement Specialist, concepting and writing social copy for Drexel University Goodwin College, EP Henry, Quick Chek and VOXX International. Concannon is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University with a degree in English and a concentration in writing.

Hannah McDonnell was brought on full-time in May as a Copywriter, after holding part-time and intern positions at BG since October 2011. In her role, she has crafted copy for various client projects, including Beneficial Bank, Einstein Healthcare Network, IKEA, the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program and The Shipley School. McDonnell is a UPenn graduate with a degree in English and creative writing.

Will Murdoch was brought on full-time in June as a Web Developer, after having worked part-time at BG as part of the Drexel University Co-Op program. Murdoch has engineered web projects for BG clients including Beneficial Bank, Cozen O’Connor and IKEA. He is a graduate of Drexel University with a degree in digital media.

Michelle Woolford joined BG in early July as PR Account Executive, working with several clients including Bancroft, K12, Philadelphia Federal Credit Union and Universal Technical Institute. She previously served as PR and Marketing Account Executive with Boyd Tamney Cross, a marketing communications agency in Wayne, Pa. Woolford is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in public relations.
