Berny and Marc Brownstein Named to Junior Achievement of Southeastern Pennsylvania’s Philadelphia Business Hall of Fame
This prestigious honor recognizes deserving members of the business community who serve as positive mentors to students in the region
PHILADELPHIA (Nov. 6 2017) – Brownstein Group Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Berny Brownstein and President and CEO Marc Brownsteinwere named to the Junior Achievement of Southeastern Pennsylvania’s Philadelphia Business Hall of Fame (JASEPA) for their career achievements at an award ceremony held on Nov. 3. The Philadelphia Business Hall of Fame recognizes leaders in the business community who serve as positive mentors for students in the region.
“Our honorees are outstanding business leaders whose efforts in leading their entrepreneurial enterprises are an inspiring example of creativity, hard work and business achievement for our students,” said Paul Kappel, president of JASEPA. “Exactly the right leaders for induction into the Philadelphia Business Hall of Fame.”
Berny was selected for this recognition due to his pioneering work in the Philadelphia advertising industry in founding Brownstein Group in 1964 during the “Creative Revolution.” Over the past more than 50 years, Berny has helped transform the one-man shop into the leading integrated brand communication firm in Philadelphia.
Marc was selected for his leadership as President and CEO of Brownstein Group as well as his contributions to the national advertising landscape. Under Marc’s leadership, Brownstein Group has expanded in employee size, from 16 employees when he joined the agency to nearly 100 employees today, as well as expanded in modern marketing services and offerings. The company now represents more Fortune 500 and top global companies than at any time in the agency’s history.

The annual event recognizes and honors the professional accomplishments of community leaders as well as identifies positive role models for the region’s young people. Proceeds from this black-tie dinner and awards ceremony benefit Junior Achievement’s efforts to empower young people to own their economic success.
