Take me out to the ballgame
I've never been much into the "sports." I played here and
there and was even on teams growing up but never really got into
it. Even now, I am fascinated by how excited people get over
teams playing on tv. I am really proud of Philadelphia fans
and how passionate they are about their teams, but just have
never felt it personally.
That is until softball season at Brownstein Group.
Mind you, I don't play. I order food and beer, cheer
probably a little too softly and just hang. However, there is
something to be said for being outside, not at the office and
having fun with your co-workers. As tired as I am after a
long day and may not want to head out to a game for a few hours,
each week I'm amazed at how lucky I am. I work with a
phenomenal group of people. We may not be the best players,
but we have more fun than any other team I've seen. I get
asked what my favorite part about BG is on a daily basis (in
interviews) and without fail my answer is always the people.
I've never worked with a more passionate, intelligent, driven and
hilarious group of people in my life. I'd rather lose with
them any day than win with a bunch of jerks.
That goes for on or off the field.
