Holiday Shopping Underway
Yesterday, I bought my first 2010 Holiday gift. OK yes,
that may sound ridiculous, especially with a pumpkin still sitting
on my front step. BUT, like most consumers, my holiday
shopping has shifted to online, and over the past few years, I've
realized my shopping season needed to move up if I want to avoid
overnight shipping fees. So, this year, it's all ground
shipping and November 1st is my season kick-off.
And I'm not alone: "According to a study from rich media
advertising provider PointRoll, holiday-related retail display ads
see the highest interaction rates from late October to early
November." So, on behalf of the "early" shoppers, bring on
the ads, bring on the deals! Send me emails, give me banner
ads, and I need more catalogs. I'm ready to shop.
