Create a Movement
Some time ago I came across "Songs From A Room (SOFAR), a series
of global pop-gigs supporting new music which brings music lovers
together in an unusual setting (often a secret living room) to hear
the most innovative and interesting new music. During performances
nobody talks, everyone listens creating the most intimate and
spellbinding environment possible.

I, as a music lover, was fascinated with the getting "back to
basics" attitude towards audiences and artists. It's a nice change
to the industry machine which spans to more than just music. As
technology speeds up, so does our attention span. Sometimes our
experiences becoming limited or easily forgotten when we look for a
speedy solution and expect an even speedier result. I like the way
they use social media to draw attention to a "movement" based on
intimacy and environment. This inspires me, not only to buy a house
with a big enough living room but to also utilize technology in a
way that reminds us to stop and hear the music.
